(401232) The two reviewers that say it didn't work in their cars need a bottle of "get a clue". Seriously, if your car is leaking coolant through the exhaust and blowing white smoke as soon as you turn it on, your seals are gone. This stuff will NOT create new seals. My 2000 grand am GT was leaking coolant I believe from the lower intake gasket. So much so (about a bottle a week) that I had resorted to just using plain old water which is bad and will rust out your radiator. Anyway I followed the instructions to the letter. Yes, removing the thermostat sucks but I did it. And I flushed the hell out of it to get all traces of coolant (and rust out) even though I was already only using water. Put the stuff in and idled for about 30 min. Let it dry for 15 hrs. flushed again. Replaced thermostat (might as well put in a new one... they are pretty cheap) and filled with Coolant. 1 week later ...... Still no leaks!!!!! Like the other guy said "I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it myself." Now I... (401232) My Dodge shadow blew a head gasket, I could not afford the money the mechanics stated it would take to fix it and I sure could do it myself if I had more muscle and more time, but Im a 51 year old Lady, a hands on kind of gal who dont worry about getting my hands greasy. My other car is a thunderbird and my dodge shadow is my extra car, my "just in case" car. Anyway the radiator went bad, replaced it but not before the damage was done, the headgasket had blown through to the water jacket.I drained my car and refilled it with plain water several times, and drained it again to make sure ALL THE ANTIFREEZE was out of the engine and the block. IF YOU DONT DO THIS IMPORTANT STEP, it will work just like it did on the guys lexus. It will not work in the presence of anti-freeze. I got a milk jug cleaned out and poured the ocntents of the nanotechnology into it filling it the rest of the way with HOT TAP WATER, just like the instructions said, REMOVED THE THERMOSTAT,... Stepping out of the car and looking at the smoke I had observed antifreeze spraying on the ground. I checked my radiator and found it almost empty. I followed the instructions to the letter and my car dumped this product out of the tail pipe too. All I can say is it depends on how big you leaky gasket is. It didn't do what all the promises on the back said. If you ever noticed you're losing antifreeze somewhere and you checked everything, put it in before it get real bad or it won't work. |
